Maudeen McAfee
Amory- Maudeen McAfee, 86, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Gilmore Memorial RMC, Amory. Born on October 5, 1927, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Roland and Tamara Blackston McAfee.
Mrs. McAfee graduated from Bigbee High School. She worked as a seamstress in the Amory Garment Factory for forty years. She was of the Baptist faith and her family was the most important thing to her in life. She enjoyed laughing and joking with family, visiting people, watching Wheel of Fortune, and spending time with her beloved dog, Penny. Maudeen’s favorite music was southern gospel.
Survivors include her brother Albert McAfee, Amory; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Mills, Tupelo; two brothers, Dan McAfee, Amory, and Barney McAfee, Sturgis.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, September 23 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James McAfee, Dylan McAfee, Jacob McAfee, Kent Collins, and Jeff McAfee.
Visitation will be from 8 AM - 9:50 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
