Amory-- Bill Vaughn, 72, passed away October 30, 2016, at Shearer Richardson in Okolona, Mississippi. Born in Smithville, he was the son on the late Edgar and Ruby Vick Vaughn. Bill attended Smithville School and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Eljer Plumbing.
Bill loved life and enjoyed talking to and helping people. He never met a stranger and would give you his last dollar to help one out. In his spare time, he loved to listen to Dolly Parton music and garden. Being a loving grandfather, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Stark officiating. Burial will follow at Young Memorial cemetery in Smithville. Pallbearers will be John Montgomery, Robert Vanghn, Chris Padfield, Anthony White, David White, and David Sorrels.
Visitation for Mr. Vaughn will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the funeral home from 5 – 8 PM.
Survivors are his wife, Pat Vaughn; son, Chris Vaughn (Regina), Smithville; Sisters Clara Harris, Amory, Sue Hankins, Mooreville, Evelle Peters, Mooreville, Peggy White, Fulton; Grandchildren: Kaylee, Caiden, Emily Vaughn; a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
