WC ROBISON
Smithville- William Charlie (W.C.) Robison, 88, died on Monday, February 5, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was the son of the late O.O. and Emma Lee Sullivan Robison.
A deeply and devoted Christian man, W.C. read and studied the Bible which guided his life and instilled a legacy of which he handed down to his family. He was a member of Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee chairman, Sunday school teacher, song leader, youth leader and janitor. He attended Pearce Chapel School and was a graduate of Smithville Schools. Serving our country, he was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Sullivan during World War II. He was a proud self employed farmer. W.C. was passionate about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and enjoyed listening to Gospel and old fashion county music. He also loved to watch the old western movies on TV.
Survivors include his wife, Elisebith (Sis) Robison whom he married on April 13, 1948; two daughters, Patricia Horne (Mickey) and Vickie Palmer (Butch) both of Smithville; a son, Mike Robison (Brenda) of the Dorsey community; a sister, Francis Carter of Columbus; Grandchildren Melanie, Clint, Bree, Tanner, Tracy, Kalin, and Christi; great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Zoey, Dylan, Madeline, Jakob, Gunnar, Keelee, Reid, Korrie, Kallie, Kalyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends: Bro. Tommy Street, Roy Cummings, Charles Cummings and James Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Robison, a set of twin girls; granddaughter Jennifer Horne; sisters: Flona, Lona, Madgie, Lois, Inez and Mae; brothers: James and Chris.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Pearce Chapel Church with Bro. Tommy Street and Bro. John Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pearce Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Clint Horne, Tanner Palmer, Dylan Colburn, Gunnar Clark, Ronnie Colburn, Michael Morris, Nick Robison, Randle Reed-Wood, Jake Howell, Wyatt Horne, and Chad Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Stafford, James Taylor, Mike Mills, Charles Cummings, Roy Cummings, and Kalin Ewing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, at Pearce Chapel Church from 12:00 P.M.. until service time at 3:00 P.M.
