William “Buddy” Young
Tupelo – William Dalton Young, 90, was called home on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023. He was born in New Albany, MS on June 14, 1932 to the late Bill Pinkalvis and Etoyle Rossell Young.
William attended Carolina School in the Carolina Community in Itawamba County and he was Baptist. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army with the transportation division and later worked at Rockwell/Delta for over 32 years. In his down time, William enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church, and listening to southern gospel music. Above all, Buddy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will missed dearly, yet his family knows that he is at peace and completely healed.
Survivors include one son, Britt Young (Kelly), Nettleton; one brother-in-law, Buford Monaghan, Amory; one granddaughter, Bailey White (Ben), Carolina Community; one great-grandson, Bentley White, Carolina Community; and a host of nieces and nephews; three special friends, Shane & Misty, Kamron, and Kooper Woods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James young, Florence Young Poore, Marcus Young, Margie Faye Young Pennington, Granville Young, and Charles Young.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, Febuary 27, 2023 at Wiygul Cemetery in the Carolina Community with Bro. Gene Conwill officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Sawyer, Tommy Todd, Tim Causey, Derrick Sawyer, Shawn Sawyer, Shane Woods.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m., Monday, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
