Connersville, IN - William E. “Bill” Bowling age 63 of Connersville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 26, 2011 at the Emergency Room of Fayette Regional Health System.
He was born January 23, 1948 in Connersville the son of the late Isaac Bowling and Hattie Roberts Bowling of Connersville. Bill is a 1966 graduate of Connersville High School.
He became an accomplished machinist and tool and die maker working at Ready Tool &Die, Aircraft Contours in Indianapolis, and McAllister in Indianapolis for many years before becoming self employed as a machinist for several years until retirement.
He was a member and looked forward to worship and fellowship at the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, ginseng hunting and being outdoors.
In addition to his mother he is survived by three children and their families including Jennifer Christine Tomey and husband, Robert of Amory, and their children, William Tanner, Hunter Christine, and Emily Conner; Elizabeth Anne Bowling of Connersville and her children Troy Ratcliff (deceased) Dasmine, Emily, and Hattley; and W. Brian Bowling and wife, Tara, of Laurel and their children Corey Isaac, Caitlyn Marie, and Chloe Gael. Bill is also survived by his brother, David Bowling & Malessia of Connersville; two sisters, Ella Sizemore & Carl of Connersville and Lou Ann Hertel, Connersville as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father and a grandson he is preceded in death by a brother in law, Al Hertel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center with Rev. Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Everton Cemetery.
