Born on July 16, 1958, in Seattle, WA, he was a son of the late Boyd C. & Maureen V. Ackers Patterson.Wayne was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1976. After graduation, he began his career as an electrician. Having worked for JESCO and Edwards Electric in Meridian, Wayne retired as a master electrician. A loving and hard-working man, he cherished his family. Wayne was Catholic. He enjoyed fishing, reading, coin collecting and listening to Old-time Rock and Roll. Growing up in a military family with his dad being a career Air Force veteran, Wayne was a patriot, having great respect for his Country, the Armed Forces and the American flag.He is survived by his wife, Judy Patterson, Smithville; son, Kerry Wayne (Deana) Pittman, Batesville; brother, Douglas K. (Deana) Patterson, Mantachie; granddaughter, Abbigail Pittman; nieces, Megan Patterson, Sabrina Shook and Santina Shook; nephew, John Harris; great-niece, Olivia Goodman; and special friends, Terry (Judith) Rebstock and their daughter, Terry Kayla “Tea Cup,” Raimer, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Patterson.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 19 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. James Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.Arrangements for the Patterson family are in the care of E.
