Wanda Lynn Harris, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on October 3, 1944 in Greenwood Springs, MS, she was a daughter of the late Earl Leslie and Janie Ethel Welch.
Wanda graduated from Tremont High School in 1962. She attended church in Okolona and was a seamstress in the garment industry. Wanda married Grady Arlen Harris in 1975. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Wanda loved to cook and spending as much time as she could with her family. She enjoyed seeing that the family walked the straight and narrow. She enjoyed to fish for bream. She loved the outdoors. If you passed by her home, you could see her spending countless hours with her flowers or playing with her dog. She loved the outdoors. Wanda will be missed by her smile and devotion to her family.
Wanda Harris is survived by her sons: Wayne Leach (Sheila), Greenwood Springs, Keith Leach (Dale), Fulton, and Bobby Carl Leach, Smithville; grandchildren, Jamie, Bobby, Leslie, Hunter and Trey Leach, Jacob Allred, Austin Towery and Dalton Jones; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Cooper Leach; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Scott Leach; grandson, Cody Leach; sister, Sue Simmons.
Funeral Services for Wanda Lynn Harris will be on Friday, March 30, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. Bro. Ray Carroll will be officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Grove Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Harden, John Murphy, Jacob Allred, Bobby Earl Leach, Randell Allred, Wayne Leach, Bobby Carl Leach.
Visitation for Wanda Harris will be on Thursday evening, March 29, 2018, from 5:00 – 8 :00 PM at the funeral home.
