Nettleton – Wallace Ray Barrett, 59, of Nettleton died at North Mississippi Medical Center on February 5, 2016. The son of the late Stanley and Lucy Magaline Broady Barrett, Wallace attended Itawamba Agricultural High School. He worked in furniture manufacturing where he made many friends.
Wallace was a family man. His passion was to play with his children, listening to music especially bluegrass and the “oldies”, watching television and tinkering with his old truck. His daughter was the light of his life. He loved to spend time with his brothers talking about the old days.
Wallace is survived by his spouse, Sarah Kathleen Barrett whom he married on August 29, 2004; his daughters, Danielle Barrett of Wren, Jennifer Stephanek of Sterling, Virginia, Caroly Batton (Chris) of McMinnville, TN; one son, Wallace Ray Barrett Jr., of McMinnville, TN; one sister, Martha (Larry) Davis Glasgow; brother Victor (Teresa) Barrett, Fulton, MS.; Stanley Jr. (Sheila) Barrett, Fulton, MS; John (Brenda) Barrett, Excel, Ala; Al Barrett of Leitchfield, KY; grandchildren: Timothy Hemby, William Hemby, Dakota Hemb, Grace Barrett, Dillion Barrett, Addison Barrett; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Abigail Hemby and a great niece Paris Franks.
His Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor, John, Stanley, and Levi Barrett; Clifford and Daniel Broady.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Sunday, February 7 at the funeral home.
