Smithville—Frankie “Wade” Pounds, 49, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his residence. Born on October 24, 1967, he was a son of Earlene Rector Pounds and the late J.W. Pounds. He was a graduate of Amory High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by True Temper Sports for 24 years as a tool and dye worker and later worked for Hyster. Wade was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He spent time with his best friends, Ben Hill and Randy Hathcock. He loved to listen to most types of music, especially the classics from the 80’s.
If you were to ask what was most important to him, he would say his family. He loved his children most of all. They went to the movies together and fished together.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Charles Trimm, Jerry Rector and Ronnie Pounds; and a sister, Carole Browning.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Pounds, Smithville; daughter, Carol Pounds, Smithville; brother, Johnny Pounds (Debbie), Amory; his mother, Earlene Pounds; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be 2 PM, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Liberty Cemetery near Nettleton. Bro. Dudley Nash will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Hathcock, Ben Hill and Rex Shackelford.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:45 PM at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
