View his Video Tribute: http://videos.lifetributes.com/205789Amory – Huel Riddle, 80, died on Friday, March 18, 2011, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on April 28, 1930, in Marion County, AL, he was a son of the late Harvey Lee & Evelyn Gertrude Shotts Riddle.
Mr. Riddle was a graduate of Hatley High School, Class of 1950.  He honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.  Retiring in 1993, he worked as a lineman for Monroe County Electric Power Association.  Prior to this, Mr. Riddle worked as a lineman with Frisco Railroad and with the City of Amory.  He was a member of North Boulevard Christian Church.  His faith and family were important to him.  Mr. Riddle enjoyed Bluegrass music; was an avid fisherman and hunter; loved to restore old boats, campers, tractors, etc.; loved to go camping; enjoyed playing cards at the hunting club; and tried playing various instruments such as the fiddle, banjo and mandolin.  For forty-seven years, he had Halloween cookouts at his home for the community and enjoyed the fellowship.  He was a Mason.  Having a big heart, his ministry was helping those in need, especially repairing lawn mowers for widows.
He is survived by his soul-mate and best friend of 54 years, Mary Berryman Riddle, Amory; daughter, Dana Leigh Riddle Parker, Amory; sons, Byron Huel (Suzan) Riddle and Nelson Scott (Tracey) Riddle, Amory; grandchildren, John Rico Parker, Brandi Elizabeth Parker (Ray) McDaniel, James Matthew “Matt” Parker, Andrew “Drew” Todd (Jaime) Riddle, Benjamin Scott Riddle, Coleman Scott Riddle, and Rebecca Lyn Riddle; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Erman MacHenry “Mac” Riddle.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 20 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Furman Anderson and Bro. Buzz Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Drew, Scott and Cole Riddle; Rico and Matt Parker; and Ray McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be the Monroe County Electric Power Association and Standifer Creek Hunting Club.Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, P. O.
