Virginia O'Quinn

Nettleton –Virginia Carol Cox O’Quinn passed away on July 31, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on August 29, 1942 in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Sadie Paramore Cox .
Virginia attended school at Smithville and graduated with the class of 1960. She married the love of her life, John C. O’Quinn, on April 4, 1978. As an entrepreneur, she was the owner of L&R Rentals. Her special friends at work include Phebe Sheffield, Fay Finney, Shirley Hawkings, Glenda Pennington, and Gin Tibbett. She was of the Baptist faith her whole life, and was a faithful member at Liberty Baptist Church.
Virginia’s family and friends were a centerpiece in her life. Along with keeping her husband, John, straight, she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially her dog, Socks. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and yard work. She also liked cooking for her family and canning fresh vegetables from the garden.
Virginia enjoyed watching football, and her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Ole Miss Rebels. She loved to sit and eat with her friends, and gossip with the gals. On a nice afternoon, she could be found listening to Alan Jackson on the radio, or reading a good book.
The most important things to Virginia were raising her children and watching her family succeed in life. She provided support and guidance for her family, and always kept her heart full with affection for her loved ones. As Virginia joins her Lord in heaven, her memory will be honored by her family for years to come.
