Virginia Harrison

Hatley - Virginia Dorothy Harrison, 87, died June 11, 2012 at the Care Center of Aberdeen. Born March 29, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI, she was a daughter of Peter and Anna Alice Mroz Pytlewski. A dog lover, she cherished the many she had over the years. She enjoyed visiting with friends and going to church and was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Minister Marshall Eubanks, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald W. Harrison, Mark Harrison, Spencer Harris, Greg Boyer, Ken Stratton, and Brad Root. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ.

Visitation will be from 2 until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her goddaughters, JoAnn Boyer and Mary Ann Switlick of both of Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law, Marcelle Harrison of Olive Branch, MS, Mary Ellen Root of Milwaukee, WI, and Gay Torrey of Sarasota, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harold Harrison; and her sister, Marie Switlick.
