Vincent Lee Hester, 40, died on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Care Center of Aberdeen. Born May 22, 1973 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of Harlon Lee and Dorothy Wildman Hester. A graduate of Amory High School in 1991, he was a member of the band and attended Itawamba Community College receiving a degree in civil engineering in 1995. He worked for Continental Engineering in Aberdeen and later operated his own business in Tupelo until 2009 when his health failed. He attended Cason Baptist Church and he enjoyed travel, his friends, running his business, and loved playing with his dog, Benji. An avid Boston Celtics fan, he enjoyed sports. He was known as a loving and caring son.
A Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Shane Crawford and Bro. John Maxey officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Harlon and Dorothy Hester of Amory; uncle, Billy Wildman (Harriet) of Nettleton; and aunt, Marie Wildman of Nettleton.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Garland and Estelle Hester; Tomas and Lille Mae Wildman Reynolds; and William Chuck Wildman; and cousins, Ricky Wildman and Billie Jo Wildman.
Pallbearers will be Larry Todd, Joshua Scruggs, Brad Clayton, James Rollins, Jordan Stanford, Larry Maxey, Gary Ryans, David Walls, Rob Whitehead, and Steve Grissom.
Visitation will continue until service time on Monday.
