Vic Elliott
Amory – Victor Leyzunda Elliott, Sr., 92, started his new life in Heaven on Thursday, January 26, 2023. He was born in Pine Grove, MS, on January 5, 1931, to the late Leyzunda Murrah Elliott, Jr. and Zula Mable Kirkpatrick Elliott.
Vic grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Smithville High School. A man who was not afraid of hard work, he owned and operated his own dairy business for many years. Near the end of his career, he managed property for both Dr. M. Ewing and Dr. R. Hollis. Vic was a patriot and at an early age he served in the United States Navy where fought in the Korean War.
He married the love of his life, Kay Rogers Elliott, and they were blessed with two children and a large extended family. A quiet humble man, Vic loved the Lord and he was a member of First Baptist Church.
Vic will be missed by his friends and family yet they know that he is with the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Elliott, Amory; daughter, Jill Elliott Dabbs (Jimmy), Smithville; daughter-in-law, Alicia Elliott, Amory; grandchildren, Ley Elliiott, Justin Dabbs, and Sara Pearson; step-grandchildren, April Wilbanks, Nathan Dabbs, and Dray Dabbs; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Cameron Elliott; Mayze Dabbs; Parker and Jordan Pearson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Victor Elliott, Jr.; sister, Martha Evelyn Johnson; brothers, Hubert and Rubel Elliott.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held with Naval Military Honors. Burial will follow in Amory Historical Society Cemetery, Amory, MS.
