Vickey Walls Stephens

Aberdeen – Vickey Walls Stephens, 62, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015, in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. Born on November 10, 1952, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Eunice Scott Walls.

Mrs. Stephens graduated from Smithville High School in 1971. On June 10, 1971, she married Joe Stephens. Self employed, she worked as the Vice President for JDSDI Inc. Her family, especially her husband, children and grand children, were what gave her the most joy in life. She was passionate about gardening and yard work around her house, always making it look picture perfect. She loved to shop (but didn’t buy anything), go on vacations, cook out, and riding the razor on trails in the mountains. Vickey was active and a member of the Aberdeen Country Club and Southern Side by Side. She loved to spend time with family, read, and cook new recipes which were healthy for her loved ones. Vickey loved listening to Alicia Keys, specifically “Girl on Fire”, and listening to artists on “The Voice”. Her most proud accomplishments were her children, helping others, and being the best she could be in life.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; daughters, Princilla Mills, Columbus, Angela Christodoulou (Gregory), Ocean Springs; sisters, Janet Mosley (Louis), Aberdeen, Debra Pruitt, Smithville, Lisa Rudy (Glenn), Mooreville; brothers, Carlos Walls, Smithville, Daniel Walls (Terri), Aberdeen, Richard Walls, Smithville, and Jerry Walls (Jackie), Smithville; grandchildren, Brooke and Alexis Denney, Fiona and Nicholas Christodoulou; and host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Neva Jo Jackson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, April 21 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Dave Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Amory. Pallbearers will be Carlos Walls, Daniel Walls, Richard Walls, Al Stephens, Niles Stephens, and Kyle Flynn.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Monday at the funeral home in Amory.
