Amory—Vance Darrell Holloway, 67, died on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at his residence in Amory. Born on September 17, 1947, in Aberdeen, he was a son of Mertie Mae Brown Holloway and the late James Rudolph Holloway.
Growing up, he went to school in Hatley. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved to go fishing. He liked mechanical work and working on old vehicles. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his mother, Mertie Shaffer (Norman), Fortney, TX; daughter, Cathy Weaver, Houston; and son, Jimmy Smith, Houston.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Holloway.
