Mooreville - Van Hayes Livingston, Sr., 80, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his residence. Born on March 18, 1934, in Vernon, he was a son of the late Ugless Hays and Tezzie Mae Moore Livingston.
He honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Livingston owned his own trucking business. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. His life’s focus was his family. He enjoyed riding and working his mules and wagons, going to Mule Day in Winfield, trading mules, Gospel and Country music.
Surviving are daughters, Judy Smith (Bobby), Kathy Whitlow (Charles) of Mooreville, and Pat Lindsey (Rodney) Mantachie; son, Jimmy Livingston (Debbie), Becker; grandchildren, Dusty Smith, Bobby Smith, Jr., April Livingston, Mandy Jackson, Kimberly Franks & Michael Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Jacklynn Hines, Trinity Franks, Maggie Smith, Allie Smith, Callie Smith, Darby Jackson & Nella Jackson; a host of nieces and nephews..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and sons, Danny Livingston and Van H. Livingston, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, August 25 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in Sailor Cemetery, Vernon.
Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1:45 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
