Wren- Truda Rheba Johnson Stacy, 101, passed away March 17, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born April 18, 1923 to the late Francis “Frank” Sidney Johnson and Lucy Josephine Denson Johnson.
Truda grew up in New Site community and attended New Site School. She was raised in a close family and was the oldest member, and a lifelong member, of Siloam Methodist Church. She loved the dinners on the ground, revivals, and being with loved ones. At a young age, she married the love of her life, Randle Stacy. She was devoted to him for 64 years and with him created a happy home. Jesus created a beauty when he created Mother. The Spirit shined his love right through her. She loved her home being filled with the joy of children and grands, cooking delicious meals, and making everyone’s favorites, especially her banana pudding. Mother sewed beautifully for us, and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Having a beautiful voice, she loved to sing, especially gospel songs from her childhood. Her love was the strength of our family, always with a listening and compassionate ear and unconditional love for anyone struggling. She rejoiced over our victories.
Love is our Mother’s legacy.
Truda is survived by her sons, Larry Stacy, Amory, MS and Terry Stacy, Tupelo, MS; her daughters, Sandra Osborne, Wren, MS, Dianne Jones (Jerry) ,Amory, MS, and Debbie Stacy, Amory, MS; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and many beloved great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Randle Stacy; parents, Frank and Lucy Johnson; son, Rev. Randy E. Stacy; granddaughter, Tracy Denise Iglinsky; daughter-in-law, Anita Stacy; grandson, Tony Wilson; son-in-law, Jack Osborne Jr.; and 8 siblings.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be March 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Siloam Methodist Church, County Road 1411, Marietta, MS with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating.
