Amory – Alan Todd Gann, 44, died on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at his mother’s residence. Born on July 8, 1966, in Amory, he was a son of Mary Frances Ritter Gann and Johnny Gann, Sr.
Todd was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1984, and attended ICC. Before working as a welder for Holley Performance Products, Aberdeen, he had worked at Monroe Tufline and KI in Tupelo for sixteen years. A member of Faith Baptist Church and a former member of Bigbee Baptist Church, Todd loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, watching wrestling and game shows on television, and talking with friends on the telephone.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Gann, father, Johnny Gann, Sr., daughter, Crystal Paige Gann, son, Alan Todd “T” Gann, II, brothers, Johnny Gann, Jr., and Michael Harlow, all of Amory; nieces, Courtney Mills, Ashley Raper and Breanna Gann; nephew, Cordell Gann; and the mother of his children, Lorie Jones, Wren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollie J. & Louise Ritter and William B. & Ludie Gann and uncles, Robert E. & Herbert Ray Ritter.
A Funeral Service for Todd will be held at 2 PM, Monday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley and Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Bishop, Jody Johnson, Charlie Watson, Donnie Bennett, James Blaylock and Jamie Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Raper and Donald Jones, Jr.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, c/o Beth May, P. O. Box 269, Amory, MS 38821.
