Columbus – Tina Shields Rost, 47, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born on July 2, 1974, in Amory, MS to the late Roger Shields and Linda Worthey Shields.
Tina grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Hatley High School in 1992. She furthered her education at Bevill State Community College and obtained an Associate Degree in Medical Transcription. Tina worked for many years as a Transcriptionist for Golden Triangle Baptist Hospital in Columbus, MS. She worked hard but her biggest labor of love was being a homemaker. Tina married the love of her life, Robbie Lynn Rost, on May 27, 2000. Together they were blessed with 21 years of marriage, a son, and they made many great memories through the years.
She always put God first in her life and her family always meant the world to her. Tina enjoyed taking care of her family and spending precious time together. She was loving, always putting others first, and was passionate about Breast Cancer and Autism awareness. In down time, she was an avid reader and liked to listen to old rock, some country and Christian music. Above all, Tina treasured her family and loved being a mother to her son.
Her family and friends are saddened with her leaving them so soon yet they know that she is in Heaven, rejoicing with the angels. She will never be forgotten and the love she gave through the years will be cherished forever.
Tina is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Robbie, Columbus; child, Christopher Dylan Rost, Columbus; brother, Michael Dale Shields, Priestville, MS; many friends and family.
