Hatley, Miss.—Robert Tillman Wright, 82, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Born May 3, 1931 in the Trace Road Community of Monroe County, he was a son of Winnie R. and Sallie Humphries Wright. A Baptist, his family was also an important part of his life. He was a farmer before his retirement and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and wood carving.
Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Jessie Betts officiating. Burial will be in the Smithville Cemetery.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois Rollins of Hatley and Emolene Bolling of Waukegan, IL; one brother, James Wallace Wright of Hatley; and special friend, John Kuykendall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Truman Wright; and 3 sisters, Doris Eads, Reba Blankenship, and Clara Summerford.
Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and will continue until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
