Aberdeen— Tida Ann Yonker, 43, passed away January 10, 2019, at NMMC in Tupelo. Born on April 4, 1975 in Ardmore, OK, she was the daughter of Robert Ray Rogers and Regina Ann Cryer Roberts.
Tida graduated from Madill High School in Madill, OK with the Class of 1993. She married her sweetheart and best friend, Eric Yonker, on March 20, 1993. She worked as a chemical lab technician in Livingston, AL. Tida was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the U.S. Bowling Congress.
A spit-fire, stubborn, outspoken Southern lady, Tida was loved by many. She was an outstanding bowler, and went bowling often with Eric, her children and her many friends. Tida adored her bowling family especially Linda Barham.
Her proudest accomplishment was raising her children. She enjoyed attending their Friday night football games, attending their award ceremonies, and all of their sporting events. In her free time, in addition to bowling, she liked fishing and “ching-chingin’” at the casino.
She collected elephants and decorated her house with them. Tida also loved decorating her Christmas tree with 20+ year old ornaments. She listened to 80’s Rock, 90’s Country, and Classic Rock, but her favorite artists included Patsy Cline and Conway Twitty. A fun-loving woman, she leaves behind many cherished memories with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
Tida is survived by her parents, Regina Roberts and Robert Rogers, Livingston, AL; husband of 26 years, Eric Yonker, Aberdeen; daughters, Ashley Yonker, Vicksburg, Monica Yonker, Aberdeen; son, Christopher Yonker, Livingston, AL; brothers, Justin Rogers (Ashley), Chickamauga, GA, Cody Rogers, Livingston, AL; half-sister, Kayla Rogers; sister-in-law, Candy Porter (Jim); and nieces and nephews, Jakobe Rogers, Keagan Rogers, Jordin Rogers, Alyssa Rogers, Kourtney Porter, Nick Porter, Anthony Rogers, Kristiana Rogers, and Sarah Yonker.
