Amory – Thomas A. Jaudon, 95, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at his residence. Born on March 17, 1920, in Hamilton, he was a son of the late James Curtis and Nettie Mae Nickles Jaudon.
Thomas was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and received his Engineering Degree from Finley Engineering College in Kansas City. Honorably serving in the Army Air Corps, he was a bombardier during World War II. On February 7, 1953, Thomas married MaryAnn Tomaselli. Working for Economy Forms as a concrete construction engineer for 32 years, he built football stadiums for Clemson, the Gator Bowl, Veteran’s Stadium, and was a consultant for MSU’s stadium. Highly respected and sought after, Thomas worked on the building of Atlanta International Airport. Retiring at age 62, he and his wife moved to Mississippi in 1983. After returning, Thomas’ passion was focused on working on his farm and raising Black Angus cattle.
A determined gentleman with a big heart, he was very gifted and had a great mind. He was of the Baptist faith and was a former Mason and Shriner. Thomas’ family and children were most important to him and he especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, best friend, and soulmate, of nearly 63 years, MaryAnn Jaudon, Amory; daughter, Rhonda Lea Jaudon, Saltillo; son, Thomas Wayne Jaudon (Terri), Buford, GA; grandchild, Erick Thomas Jaudon (Margaret Poplin), Jacksonville, AL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Alan Jaudon.
A private family service will be held later.
