Born on January 14, 1949, in Iron Mountain, MI, she was a daughter of Catherine Badini LeQuia and the late Leo LeQuia.A stern, hardworking, independent and loving mother, Theresa was of the Catholic faith. Having a love for cooking, especially Italian, she owned and operated Moma T’s for seven years and had previously worked at Amory Garment. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to the Casinos. Having a big heart, she would take in stray dogs and cats and was a supporter of the Humane Society.She is survived by a daughter, Denna (Michail) Abbott, Amory; sons, Scot (Jill) Hurley, Amory and Dewayne (Lori) Hurley, Shannon; mother, Catherine B. LeQuia, Amory; sister, Mary LeQuia, Amory; grandchildren, Brooke Shoup, Josh Hurley, Brandon Abbott, Brandon Ethridge, Sarah Abbott, Kayla Hurley, Devan Hurley and Kade Abbott; great-granddaughter, Ansley Kate Shoup; special nieces and nephews, Mike & Judy Hurley, George Johnson, Fran Coleman and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Antoinette “Toni” Kozlowitz.A Funeral service for Theresa Hurley will be held at 10 AM, Saturday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Danny Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Raymond Tribble, Jessie Davidson, Rubel Adams, Steve Johnson, Jim Kennedy and Dennis Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Round Table at Moma T's, William Pickle, Jimmy Reeves, Michael Dykes and Bo Dykes. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Amory Humane Society, 1317 Old Hwy. 6, Amory, MS 38821, or to Amory Food Pantry, 123 S.
