Hattiesburg - Brigadier General Theodore E. Stuart, Retired, 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Stuart was a retired Brig. Gen. of the Mississippi Army National Guard and was former Post Commander of Camp Shelby. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Army. He was a member of Dixie Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Teddy Stuart, Jr., and Tracy Stuart (Sherry), both of Dixie Community; four daughters, Karen Fortenberry (Wayne) of Franklin, TN, Dee Hammack (Van) of Monroe, MI, Janice Stewart (Jimmy) of Gulfport, and Robin Wilson (James) of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Stuart in 1991; a grandson; a brother, Harry J. Stuart; and a sister, Sue Dell Young.

His Funeral Service will be held at 6 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016, Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel, Hattiesburg, with Bro. Jimmy Stuart officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 PM, Thursday, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
His Graveside Service, with full military honors, will be held at 2 PM, Friday, November 18 in Harmony Cemetery, Amory.
Visitation will be from Noon - 1:30 PM, Friday, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. Everyone is asked to meet 1:30 PM, Friday, at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
