Terry Lee Rowell

Amory – Terry Lee Rowell, 47, passed away at her residence on Monday, December 18, 2017. Born on November 19, 1970, in Amory, MS, she was a daughter of Lucy Parish Bourgeois and Henry Lacy Rowell.

Terry graduated from Plantersville School in May 1992. She was known for her warm and ever present smile as well as her heart of gold. Terry attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Amory. The family is sure that she is no doubt smiling in awe in her heavenly father now.

She had a special bond with her caretaker, Pat “AT” Oravits, and her BFF Jennifer. Terry loved going to see her doctor. She was also very fond of her special friends, Jo and Frankie Cross. In her free time, Terry loved participating 5K runs and playing basketball. She always had fun at the Fishing Rodeo’s in Bay Springs and Enid Lake. Terry enjoyed attending the A.R.C. in the Park festivities and the Gum Tree Run. She was also participated in many beauty pageants and she was always beautiful contestant.

Terry’s favorite pastime was watching her favorite TV shows: The Young and the Restless, Sanford and Son, The Andy Griffith Show, and Good Times. She loved listening to all kinds of music and drinking Coca Cola. She was always cheerful and sweet to all who were around her. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her mother. Terry will be greatly missed, and she left a lasting memory for her loved ones to cherish forever.

In addition to her mother, Lucy, she is survived by her sister, Susan Pender (Brad), Nettleton; brothers, Larry Rowell (Peggy), Fulton, Jody Rowell (Jennifer), Shannon; father, Henry Rowell(Rachel); nieces and nephews, Samantha Braden (Wade), Aerial Rowell, Troy Rowell, Stephanie Rowell, Sam Rowell, Justin Chandler, Montana Edwards; and special friend,
Pat Oravits; special hospice caregivers, Emily and Brandy.

Terry was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and Sammy Rowell; and grandparents, Hilton and Gertrude Parish and Tom and Pearl Rowell; step-dad, Alvin Bourgeois.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Truman Carter and Bro. Thomas Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Coontail Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sam Rowell, Troy Rowell, Justin Chandler, Jake Self, Pat McDonald, and Brad Pender. Honorary pallbearers will be
Dr. Clint Washington and Dr. Caddell.

Visitation for Terry will be from 5PM-8PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the funeral home.
