Amory – Teresa A. Padgett, 51, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House. Born on October 25, 1961, in Ackerman, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Patterson and Ann Kellum.
Teresa was a graduate of WP Daniel High School. Passionate about children’s welfare, Teresa was a DHS volunteer in Rockford, IL. In 1993, she moved to Amory. For 15 years, she ran Debs Fireworks in Columbus and worked at Dodges Store. Teresa attended The Orchard in Tupelo. Caring, fun-loving, honest, and independent, she was a fighter and used that strength during her courageous battle with cancer. Her enjoyments in life were her children and grandchildren; fishing; Alabama football; and music by Travis Tritt and Alabama.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Rose (Merce), Tupelo; sons, Robbie Lane and fiancée, Cherish, and Ryan Lane, Amory; brother, Tim Cannon (Nina), New Albany; grandchildren, Xavier, Maggi, Kane, Hunter, and Bella; and niece, Kayla Cannon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mom, Sara Patterson; brother, Robert Patterson; and the father of her children, Rob Lane.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, May 18 in Haughton Memorial Park with Rev. Will Rambo officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Bre Lucas and Blaine Smith. Everyone is asked to meet at 2:50 PM, Friday at the cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
