Smithville-Tennie Bell Knight, 86, passed away at her residence on March 21, 2017. Born on July 16, 1930 in Rienzi, MS, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Roxie Caroline Stanford Rinehart.
Tennie graduated from Nettleton High School and was a member of Cason Baptist Church. Her career started in the pants factory in Nettleton, continued as a waitress at Holly’s, and worked at G&Y Drug Store. Later she became a Homemaker and loved raising her boys. She was always known as one to help others. She was passionate about her church family, especially her Sunday school class. She loved to grow flowers, to garden, cooking for her friends and family and travel. Tennie Bell loved to listen to Elvis. God and her family was the foundation of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Curtis Hester and Russell Knight, 2 sons, Van and Charles Hester, grandson, John Hester and 2 brothers, Frank and Ellis Rinehart.
She is survived by her brother, Allen Rinehart (Nell), Canton, TX.; grandchild, Charles Hester; Nieces and Nephews, Sarah Rinehart, Smithville, Mark Rinehart, Amory, Sandra Pirtle (Lloyd), Tulsa, OK, Wendell Rinehart, Columbus, Noel Rinehart (Vicki), Waxahachie, TX, Andy Rinehart (Renee), Teresa See (Jay), Montgomery City, MO, Michael Rinehart, MO, Dewayne Rinehart (Trish), Hatley and special friends, Donna Chaney and Sharon Hathcock.
Services for Tennie Bell Knight will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home at Smithville, MS. Elder Wendell Rinehart will be officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Pall bearers will Toby Rinehart, Tim Chaney, Wayne West, Curtis Rogers, Dennis Gasper, and David Greenhill.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 23, 2017from 5-8 PM at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Smithville, MS
