Smithville, Miss.—Tammy Rhena Thompson Dyer, 46, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Born September 10, 1966, in Amory, she was a daughter of David Thompson and the late Linda Barrett Thompson.
She attended Amory and Hatley schools and she was a homemaker. Passionate about her family, she enjoyed spending time with them especially her two daughters, Nicki and Sierra. She was a Baptist and she enjoyed flower gardening.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Mike Tucker and Bro. Danny Carl Burks officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include a special friend, Donald Thompson of Smithville; two daughters, Nicki Leech of Smithville and Sierra Dyer of Amory; her father, David Thompson of Amory; two stepsons, Blake Thompson and Brady Thompson both of Amory; one brother, Brad McCormick of Amory; 4 grandchildren, Jami Nicole Reeder, Chloe Kathleen Reeder, William Jarrett Carithers, and Easton Blake Thompson; and nieces and nephews, Samantha McCormick, LaCreshia McCormick, and Destiny Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandmother, Willo Dean Barrett and grandfather, Travis Barrett.
Pallbearers will be T.C. Noe, Joey Henry, John Montgomery, Koby Dyer, Justice Dyer, Austin James, Eliot Price, and Dennis Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Yancy Dyer, Bill Leech, Phil Leech, Clay Nelson, Donald Thompson, and Todd Dyer.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
