Tammy Lane Cody

Amory, Miss.—Tammy Lane Leech Cody, 49, died on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her home. Born August 25, 1964 in Amory, she was a daughter of Laverne Gray Leech Nicholson and the late James Edward Leech.

She was a graduate of S. Pontotoc High School and worked as a beautician before her health failed. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Pontotoc and she was known as a loving, devoted, Christian mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially playing with her grandchildren and she loved horses

Survivors include her mother, Laverne Leech Nicholson of Nettleton; one daughter, Ashley Harris of Amory; three sons, Joshua Russell (Kayla) of Tupelo, Jake Russell (Holly) of Amory, and Austin Harris (Allie) of Pontotoc; one sister, Karen Moffett; three brothers, Eddie Leech (Jan), Randy Leech (Patty), and Jamie Leech (Sonya); and 6 grandchildren, Maralyn Kate Russell, Joshua Russell, Jr., Christopher Russell, Easton Russell, Jake Russell, Jr., and Riley Grace Harris.

She was preceded in death by her father; and step-father, Frank Nicholson.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3 until 5 p.m. Thursday, January 9 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
