Susan Gray

Amory- Susan Juaniece Gray, 58, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Gilmore Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1954, in Amory, to Max Earl Gosa and Betty Sue Howell Parham.

Susan was a graduate of Hatley High School class of 1972. She married Roger Dale Gray on June 3, 1972. She attended East Amory Baptist Church and was a Department Manager at Wal-Mart, with 24 years of service. Possessing a contagious smile, Susan was a very kind-hearted lady, who cherished time spent with her family, especially her husband, sons, and granddaughter. With the help of her husband, Susan kept an amazingly beautiful yard and flower gardens. She enjoyed oldies and gospel music.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her sons, Chris Gray (Amory) and Cory Gray (New Albany); sister, Leigh Chaney Smith (Smithville); Brother, Les Turman (Parham Community); granddaughter, Karli Eugenia Gray, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Chaney.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 13 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Whaley and Bro. Roger Akers. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy, Charles, and Rickey Moreland, Wayne Howell, Mike Riley and Mike Kuykendall. Honorary pallbearers will be Susan’s fellow employees of Wal-Mart.
