Saltillo – Sue Morris Parham, 83, died on Friday, June 27, 2014, at The Meadows, Fulton. Born on December 10, 1930, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Chester Anderson and Irene Kimbrough Morris.
Mrs. Parham graduated from Amory High School, Class of 1948. On February 2, 1949, she married Phillip Allan Parham. After 30 years of service, Mrs. Parham retired as an insurance clerk with Gilmore Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Saltillo. Loving, caring, and empathetic, Mrs. Parham was passionate about her family. She loved playing Scrabble, working crossword puzzles, sewing, movies, television, and listening to Big Band and Swing music.
Survivors include her daughters, Ginger Dunaway (James “Rocky”), Saltillo and Sherry Glissendorf (David), Memphis; sisters, Virginia Monaghan, Vivian Dominy, and Peggy Morris, Macon, GA; grandchildren, Paige Ramsey, April Jones (Eric), and Jacob Dunaway; great- grandchildren, Hailey and E. J. Jones; nieces & nephews, Sharon Demille, Karenlyn Dominy, Dan Monaghan, Dennis Monaghan; 3 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, 4 great-great-nieces, a great-great-nephew; and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on December 14, 1997.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, June 30 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James “Rocky” Dunaway, David Glissendorf, Jacob Dunaway, Adam Dunaway, Jimmy Ritter, and Eric Jones.
Visitation will be from Noon – 1:50 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
