Amory—Mary Sue Brown, 80, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on April 16, 1936 in Nettleton, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late William Ottis and Willie Ovis Hester Berryhill.
Sue graduated from Shannon High School and was a faithful member of Bigbee Baptist Church. Her family was the center of her life and she cherished the time she spent with them and all of her friends.
Sue enjoyed camping and cooking for her family. She enjoyed attending Gospel singings and listening to Gospel music. The gathering at the Carolina Community held a special place in her heart. She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Montie Reynolds (Phil), Sevierville, TN, Marla Walsh (Ron), Eagle, Idaho; son, Mark Brown (Debora), Smithville; step-sons, Everett (Pete) Brown, Treasure Island, Florida, Keith Shaddix, Amory; grandchildren, Lindsey Kelley, Lance Reynolds, Bonnie Kelley, Sara Kelley, and Austin Allred.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. (Pete) Brown.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, March 24, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with burial following in Masonic Cemetery. Bro Justin Haynes will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Doug Fowlkes, Boyd Duncan, Dan Chism, Rob Sargent, Keith Shaddix, and Everette (Pete) Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Rabbit Kennedy and Herbert Head.
Visitation for Sue will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
