Amory – Steven Dudley Nash, 55, passed from this earthly life to eternity with Jesus on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on August 13, 1955, in Amory, he was a son of Bro. Dudley and Lucy Leech Nash.
Steve surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in March 2011, his greatest accomplishment. Living most of his life in Amory, he attended Amory Schools. Steve enjoyed his work as a long-haul truck driver.
Survivors include his parents, Bro. Dudley and Lucy Nash of Wren; daughters, Krisi Nash Boren (Mark) of Amory and Mallary Nash of Mountain View, AR; grandson, who was the joy of his life, Walker Nash Boren of Amory; brother, Scott Nash of Tupelo and his children, Tyler, Madison and McKinlee; sister, Stacye Nash Hollomon (Joe) of Madison and their children, Elizabeth, Max, Sam and Alex Hollomon; uncles, Johnny Leech (Dale) of Amory and their children, John Leech (Christe) of Tupelo and Collie Jo Hill (Stacy) of Amory; Pete Nash (June) Pearl and their children, Mike and Kelly Nash of Pearl; aunt, Nell Nash of Hatley; and nieces and nephews, Corie Jones (Jason) of Madison and their daughter, Lucy Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Collie and Louise Leech and Dee and Madie Nash.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, June 30 at North Mississippi Worship Center, Wren with Bro. Dudley Nash officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Johnny Leech, Jason Jones, Max, Sam and Alex Hollomon, and Tyler Nash.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. He will lie in state at the church from 3 PM until the service hour on Thursday.
