Born on July 23, 1935, in Hardy, AR, she was a daughter of the late Milton & Emma Erslee LaRue Dunevant. A very loving and compassionate lady, Mrs. Tidwell never met a stranger and was fondly known for always giving hugs and kisses. She was a homemaker. A charter member of Cornerstone Family Fellowship, Mrs. Tidwell had served as a leader of children’s ministries for 30 years and was the Ladies Auxiliary leader for many years. She cherished the times spent with her grandchildren. Mrs. Tidwell enjoyed flowers, listening to Gospel music, and taking photographs, especially of her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Malcolm Tidwell, Amory; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Earp, Cheryl (Mike) Johnson, all of Amory, and Carol (Mike) Benner, Memphis; and son, David (Sue) Tidwell, Amory; sisters, Sue Dacus, Bono, AR, and Florence Romero, Blytheville, AR; grandchildren, Nita and Adam Cleveland, Misty West, Heather Loden, Josh Bennett, Tanner Herring and Michaela Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Beavers, and brothers, Buddy and Thomas Dunevant.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM, Friday at Cornerstone Family Fellowship with Bro. Murray Galloway and Bro. Charles Petty officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Danny Fulton, E. C. Pierce, Barry Strevel, Cecil Cantrell, Ricky Smith and Tubby Harlow.Visitation will continue until the service hour at the church on Friday.Memorials may be given to Cornerstone Family Fellowship, 60064 Cotton Gin Port Rd., Amory, MS 38821.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
