Smithville—Rhonda Mischelle Brown, 46, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born on February 19, 1971, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Nellie Ruth Robinson Estis.
Shellie graduated from Smithville High School with the Class of 1989. On July 3, 1990, she married the love of her life, Dwayne, and together they were blessed with two children. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years and loved cutting hair.
Shellie loved her family, and she found joy in watching her kids doing new things. Shellie enjoyed watching her husband plant flowers in the garden for her. She loved fishing, especially for catfish. Shellie was also a huge Johnny Cash fan. In her free time, she enjoyed wood carving and painting rocks. A woman of strong faith, Shellie loved listening to contemporary Christian music and watching sermons on TBN. Shellie was known for her wonderful personality and her memory will be cherished for years to come.
Shellie is survived by her husband, Dwayne Brown, Smithville; daughter, Savannah Brown (Dylan Welch), Hatley; son, Garrett Brown, Smithville; sister, Kellie Estis, Smithville; brothers, Paul Estis (Amy), Brian Estis (Kim), both of Smithville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A funeral service for Shellie will be held at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 11AM. Bro. Wes White and Bro. Rob Westbrook will be officiating the service.
Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday at the funeral home.
