Belden – Sheila Diane Kay Strawbridge, 55, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 20, 2017. Born on October 15, 1962, in Amory, MS, she was a daughter of Edward Lee and Lona Bell Rea Strawbridge.
Sheila attended school in Zion, Illinois. She was blessed with a son Jason, and later with a daughter–in-law, and grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was a caring person who loved to help people and took pride in being her mother’s chauffeur and shopping partner. She could always be counted on to call her Dad while he was watching Fox News. Her granddaughters often confided in her and she was always willing to listen and share her heart.
Sheila was especially close to her niece Julie and shared Julie’s love of horses. She will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends. The memories and love that she gave to her family will live on forever in their hearts.
Sheila is survived by her son, Jason Powers (Tracey), Trussville, AL; granddaughters, Kara and Lauren Powers, Trussville, AL; parents, Edward and Lona Strawbridge, Belden, MS; sisters, Ruthie Thillen-Chennault (Greg), Aubrey, TX, Teresa Wilbanks (Farin), Belden, MS; brother, Eddie Strawbridge II, Belden, MS; nieces and nephews, Amanda Little, Michelle Robinson, Christine Thillen-Neace, Juliana Thillen, and Eddie Strawbridge III.
Her funeral service will held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Jim Varnon officiating. Graveside services will follow at McDuffie Cemetery, Hamilton, MS. Pallbearers will be Holden Little, Eddie Strawbridge III, Brandon Melton, Farin Wilbanks, Travis Little, Terry Cantrell, Jerry Wallace, and Andy Carroll.
Visitation will be from 12-1:50PM on Sunday, November 26, at the funeral home.
