Aberdeen—Sheila Annette Kennedy, 40, died on Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Columbus. Born March 21, 1972, she was a daughter of Mike Stanike and Lois Dean Taylor Kennedy. She attended Aberdeen High School and was the manager of Terry’s Pizza and Deli and also worked as a babysitter for Robert and Jennifer Tomey. Passionate about the Lord’s work, she was a member of the Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church where she enjoyed fellowshipping with the youth. She enjoyed going to the movies, volleyball, playing cards, and collectable horses.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ricky Bowen, Rev. James Terry, Rev. Cody Kennedy, and Rev. Joseph Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her parents, Mike and Lois Kennedy of Aberdeen; one sister and best friend, Keena Lunea Kennedy of Gatlinburg, TN; two brothers, Michael Darrell Kennedy (Revital) of Gatlinburg, TN and Marty Dean Kennedy (Brandi) of Wren; grandfather, Dexter “Deck” Taylor of Fulton; and a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends at work, Bro. Jamie Terry, Danielle Terry, Tiffany Colburn, Tammy Thompson, Aunt Cathy, Uncle Winford, Austin P., Jamie Bailey and Ashley Terry.
She was preceded in death by 3 grandparents, George Samuel and Norma Kennedy and Lorain Taylor.
Pallbearers will be her two brothers, Michael and Marty Kennedy, Brad Kennedy, Cody Kennedy, Zack Kennedy, Matt Kennedy, Jamie Bailey, and Austin Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Terry, Winford Terry, Jr., Rev. James Terry, Winford Terry, Sr., Daniel Jiminez, Rev. Austin Bowen, and Tanner Tomey.
She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until service hour on Tuesday at the church.
