Wren—Randall Shawn Phillips, 42, died on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Monroe County. Born September 27, 1970 in Amory he was a son of Lee Edward Phillips and Brenda Phillips Garner.
He worked for Bobby Harper Construction and formerly worked for Tecumseh. He enjoyed visiting with his friends, hunting, fishing, flower gardening, and taking care of his animals, Bobo and Bonnie. He was Methodist.
A Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Rev. J.C. Burks and Rev. Harrison Upshaw officiating. Burial will be in the Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors include his mother, Brenda Garner of Wren; his father, Eddie Phillips (Sarah) of Smithville; one brother, David Phillips (Angie) of Wren; aunt, Marquleta Phillips of Brandon; 3 uncles, Danny Garner (Kim) of Wren, Donnie Garner (Cindy) of Wren, and Bobby Phillips, (Ina) of Amory; 3 nephews, Chase Gaines, Cody Phillips, and Cole Phillips; a host of cousins; and a special friend, Daddy Boozer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Elizabeth Garner and Theodore and Tula Mae Phillips; and by great grandparents, Frank and Ludie Grady.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Boozer, Bryan Wiggington, Billy Savage, Chase Gaines, Cody Phillips, Dustin Harper, Bobby Harper, Todd Glenn, and Britt Savage.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and will continue until service time on Wednesday.
