Smithville – Scott Leach, 43, passed away on May 29, 2017 at his residence. Born on July 14, 1973 in Tupelo, Mississippi, he is the son of Bobby Wayne Leach and Wanda Lynn Leslie Leach. A caring man, he took special care of his dogs. Prior to becoming disabled, he worked in manufacturing for Mettaloy for seven years as a tool and die man.
Scott enjoyed fishing and target shooting in his free time, as well as talking on his ham radio. He spent afternoons watching westerns on the television with his mother and listening to his favorite country music artists, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. He graduated Smithville High School with the class of 1992.
He is survived in death by his mother, Wanda Lynn Harris; brothers, Wayne Leach (Sheila), Greenwood Springs, Keith Leach, Fulton, Bobby Leach, Smithville;nephews, Bobby Leach (Taylor), Amory, Jamie Leach, Greenwood Springs, Cooper Leach, Wesley Drake; nieces, Leslie Leach, Greenwood Springs; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wayne Leach; nephew, Cody Leach; grandfather, Earl Leslie; step-father, Buddy Harris; and grandmother, Ethel Leslie.
A graveside service for Mr. Leach will be at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Liberty Grove Cemetery. Bro Scott Johnson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Leach, Jamie Leach, Bobby Leach, and Leslie Leach.
Visitation will be 12:30 – 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 2, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Smithville.
