Sarah Ellen Dodd Sanders, 77, passed away at her residence on December 6, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith. Born on October 23, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Inez Blaylock Dodd. She attended Becker School. She married Glenn A. Sanders on January 19, 1984.
Sarah was best known as the owner of the 45 Club in Columbus. She was more than just a business owner; she would give her last dime to you if needed. She was a very honest and dependable lady. One of her best qualities was that of taking care of others and giving wonderful advice in the good times as well as the bad times.
Her greatest joy was when she was with her family. In her spare time, she loved to listen to country music, especially Freddy Fender and Tom Jones. She also likes to play solitaire, work on crossword puzzles and play dominoes.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Sanders; daughters, Dejuana Wallace (Jimmy), Linda Miller (Jimmy), and Glenda Deaduex; Sons, Bobby Clark (Denise), Danny Sanders (Denise) and David Sanders; Sisters, Alice Hawkins and Betty Dodd; Grandchildren, Justin and Brooke Wallace, Nikki and Jeremy Bryant, Caleb Wallace, Jeromy Clark, Jennifer Clark and Mendi Clark; and 12 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Crawley; Sisters, Mae Robertson, Martha Ann Carter, Maxine Croom, Erline Perry and Frances Price.
A celebration of life service for Sarah Sanders will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2016 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Huguley officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be: Justin and Caleb Wallace, Jeremy Clark, Eric Phillips, Tyler McDow, and Coy Price.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 12:00 – 1:50 PM at the funeral home.
