– Sandra Gayle Todd, 64, died on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice, Tupelo. Born on June 2, 1947, in Tupelo, she was a daughter of the Lottie Lorene Kennedy and the late Roy Francis Jones.Gayle was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1966, attended Blue Mountain College and graduated from ICC with a degree in Computer Technology and an Associate’s degree in Nursing (RN). For twenty-six years, she worked as a payroll clerk at Amory Garment before becoming a Registered Nurse and working for North MS Medical Center. A loving and caring lady, she strived to share her love with all of her patients and their families. Gayle was a member of Cason Baptist Church where she and her husband served as directors of the Youth Department. Her life was centered upon her family, and she always looked forward to cooking for their family gatherings. Gayle was passionate about organ donation after her daughter’s transplants, and caring for Senior Citizens. She enjoyed Gospel music, cross stitching, ceramics, and reading.She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry W. Todd; Mother, Lottie Lorene Jones; grandchildren, Todd and Jessica Starling; great-granddaughter, Audrey Clark; sister, Margaret Grissom (Steve); brother, Ricky Jones (Charlotte), all of Nettleton; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Fay Loden.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Todd Starling.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 22 at Cason Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Jones and Bro. Shane Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jones, Billy Jones, David Baulch, Frank Jones, Josh Hester, and David Stanford.Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday and from Noon until the service hour on Saturday at Cason Baptist Church.Memorials may be given to Gift for Life, c/o Cason Baptist Church, 30018 Cason Rd., Nettleton, MS 38858.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
