Amory – Sandra Vogel Howell, 57, died on Friday, June 8, 2012, at N. MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on February 8, 1955, in Forrest City, AR, she was a daughter of the late Garland “Bud” and Vera Mae Powell Reed.
Mrs. Howell graduated Cum Laude from Benedictine University, Lisle, IL, with a business degree. She was a member of Hatley Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at MTD as a quality engineer. Mrs. Howell loved spending time with her family. Thinking of others before herself, she was always looking to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was loved by many people. She also had a passion for helping animals, especially those who had no home. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Her husband and sons were the most important people in her life.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Howell, Amory; sons, John Webb, Amory, David Webb (Nancy Brown), Aurora, IL, and Austin Howell (Lisa), Amory; sister, Glenda Camp (Bobby), Amory; brothers, Garland Gene Reed (Nancy), Zeeland, IL, and Michael Reed (Cathy), Okolona; granddaughter, Olivia Howell; nieces and nephews, Jennifer A. Reed, Robert A. Reed, Beatrice M. Reed, Kristopher and Evelynn Reed, Bobby Camp, Jr., Ritchie Camp (Hilery), Caren Harbin (John), Bo Camp (Rebecca), Brandon Camp (Elyse), Madison Camp, Hayden Dozier, Abbie Camp, Blake Summerford, Ryleigh Summerford, Taylor Harbin, Kylie Harbin, Blair Camp, Daltyn Camp, Alexendria Murff, Christy Hillis, and Justin Seabrook (Jazmine); and adoptive sons, Mike Murphey, John Ditch, and Jeremy Burch, all of Naperville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1PM, Monday, June 11 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Webb, Garland Reed, Austin Howell, Austin Howell, II, John Webb, and Wayne Howell.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
