Mrs. Ruby Shackleford McCullough, 75, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2018, at Oak Tree Manor. Born on July 18, 1942, in Shannon, MS, she was a daughter of the late D.K. Shackelford and Mary Evelyn Trim Shackleford.
She attended Shannon schools. Ruby married Woody McCullough on December 11, 1982. He preceded her in death. Being a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, she loved her church family and read her Bible daily. Ruby enjoyed being a homemaker. Along with her mother, she helped raise most of the families’ children. When she moved to Oak Tree Manor, she enjoyed all of their activities and the fellowship with the other residents. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Ruby is survived by her sister, Barbara Jenkins; brothers, Joe and Ray Shackleford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie, Gene and Fred Shackleford; and a sister, Mae Dotson.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Ruby McCullough will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 8, 2017, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Kenneth Jenkins, Ricky Harris, David Korie Jenkins, Zack Fears, Scott Smith, Greg Kimbrough, Dalton Kimbrough and Tyler Christian. Honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Pearson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Saturday, April 7 at the funeral home.
