Rubel Cook
Nettleton, Miss.—Rubel Clifton Cook, 73, died on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born December 3, 1939 in Hatley, he was the son of the late John and Valena Wright Cook. He married Ina Faye Miller in 1962 and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. Before his retirement, he worked as a plumber. He enjoyed stock car racing and hunting.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Hester (Larry) of Nettleton; two sons, James Cook (April) and Robert Cook (Stephanie) all of Nettleton; 6 grandchildren, Stacy, Cade, D.J., Garrett, Carley, and Grayce; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Faye Cook; and two sisters, Mary Sue and Johna Lee.
Pallbearers will be Murlis Underwood, Junior Barnett, Byron Acker, Garrett Cook, Cade Cook, and D.J. McCormick.
Visitation will continue until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
