Bigbee - Ronnie Max Duke, 43, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, in Hatley. Born on August 6, 1972, in Meridian, he was a son of the late Max Duke and Carolyn “Doll” Monaghan Duke.
Ronnie attended Okolona Schools. He often attended Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church. Being disabled, Ronnie would do odds-and-ends jobs, mow yards, and work in the garden. One who never met a stranger, he was passionate about helping others. A one-of-a-kind and friendly guy, Ronnie’s nickname was “Ron Don.” Loving people and receiving love in return, his family, especially his nieces, and his friends were important to him. Ronnie enjoyed piddling on his truck and listening to Rap and Country music.
Survivors include his son, Levi Holloway, Becker; sister, Tammy Duke Hathcock (Terry), Greenwood Springs, Debra Hill Duke, Hamilton, and Linda Duke Griffin, New Albany; brother, Gary Duke, Hamilton; a very special friend of 22 years, Linda Jones, Bigbee; a niece, who was like a sister, Melissa Pujol, Hamilton; nieces and nephews, LaShae Hathcock Pritchett (Graham); Terry Austin and MaKayla Hathcock; Dustin and Amber Story; Dakota Ramey; Heather Jackson; and several other nieces and nephews; great- nieces and nephews, Braylie and Vannah Pritchett; special friend, Melinda Johnson.
His Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, January 22, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael and Cody Kennedy; Anthony Johnson; Tim Sellers; Dustin Story; and Charles Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Ramey and Dennis Wilhite.
Visitation will be from Noon until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
