Amory - Ronald Coleman "Ronnie" Frederick, 61, died on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at his residence. Born on August 5, 1952, in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late Marlin Coleman “M. C.” and Opal Earlene Coker Frederick Moffett.

Ronnie was a graduate of Smithville High School, Class of 1970. He married Gerdi Pat Koestler on September 30, 1983. After working as a medical technician, Ronnie worked as a supervisor for FFM and as a line operator for Peoplelounger. He was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Bigbee Baptist Church. A hardworking, unselfish, and loving father, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; sharing his faith; fishing; cooking and grilling for family and church events; gardening; singing; and listening to Southern Gospel, the Beatles, and the Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Gerdi Pat Frederick, Amory; daughters, Marlena Frederick (Karl Whipple), Mendenhall and Natalie Mohler (Brandon), Amory; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Cole Mohler, and Kyland Gray; three sisters Glenda(Bruce) Welch, Tupelo, Pam Wallace, Fulton, and Peggy Moreland, Smithville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; father and mother-in-law, Hans and Irma Koestler; and brothers-in-law, Steve Wallace and George Moreland.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, April 5 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Coker officiating. A private burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Ponder, Austin Mohler, Byron Coker, Tyler James, Mike New, and James Capps, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Watson and Thomas Mohler.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Bigbee Baptist Church, PO Box 768, Amory, MS 38821.
