Amory —Roger Dale Renfro, 57, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Born March 7, 1958 in Monroe County, he was a son of Jhue and Christine Gray Renfro.
Mr. Renfro was born into a large family and he loved the Lord and his family more than anything. A hard working man, he worked for United Furniture for 18 years. He married Mary Tramel Renfro on December 4, 2004. He was member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Nettleton and he also enjoyed going to church with Bro. Larry Monaghan. While working, he enjoyed fellowship with Pat Anderson, John Gilleyen, aka, “Little Heavy”, Joyce Hollaway, and Jason McCoy. He enjoyed listening to gospel music. His hobbies included watching football, specifically the Green bay Packers, and hanging out with his family. Of the things he accomplished in his life, the thing that made him the most proud was his salvation.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Tramel Renfro; daughter, Cassie Phillips, Hatley; sisters, Dorothy McWilliam, Ethel William (Jim), Shirley Foster (Paul Wayne), Frances Hamilton, Nita Clayton(Marty), Bell Hadaway (Lynn), Annice Terry (Dale), Janice York, Nancy West (Keith), and Sherry Tucker (Raymond); brothers, Alvie Renfro and Daniel Renfro; 27 nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Wayne and David Renfro.
Pallbearers will be Pervy Williams, Billy Renfro, Phillip Hamilton, Matthew Clayton, Ben Clayton, Eli Clayton, James Caldwell, Dwaine Foster, and Jason Caldwell.
A Funeral Service will be at 11 AM, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Larry Monaghan, Bro. Harvey Copeland, and Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory.
Visitation will be from 8:45 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
