Smithville- Roger Dale Law, 68, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Born September 23, 1944 in Itawamba County, he was a son of Evie Loraine Williams Law and the late Edward Law. Roger married Marie Cooper May 31, 1963.

Roger attended Hatley School, was a truckdriver for Malone and Hyde, Flying H, and Plumrose, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a fun loving man who was devoted to his family. Bonding with his grandchildren over his many practical jokes gave him the most enjoyment in life. Roger enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, horses, westerns, and teasing his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Law; his mother, Evie Law; daughters, Donna Holloway (Charles), Smithville and Misty Cross (Jason), Tupelo; sisters, Joyce Adams Browning (David), Hatley and Nelly Mae Franks, Hatley; brothers, John Law (Sandra), Smithville and Theldon Law (Virginia), Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Christy Tipton (Kenny), Smithville and Victoria Cross, Tupelo; great grandchildren, Alivia and Chase Tipton, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4pm, Monday, September 16, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Sidney McLeod and Mr. Jason Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Franks, Alan Adams, David Adams, Kenny Tipton, Darrell Nortup and Tony Adams.

Visitation will be from 5-8pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
