– Rochelle Finger Campbell, 85, died on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Graceland Care Center, Oxford. Born on September 20, 1925, in Pittsboro, she was a daughter of the late John Edward & Lois Woodruff Finger.Following high school, she graduated from Wood Junior College with a major in Bible and attended Mississippi State University. In 1946, Mrs. Campbell married Robert “Bob” D. Campbell in Choctaw County. They lived in Venezuela and Peru until settling in Amory in 1959. Very active in church, she was a member of First Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. A remarkable woman, Mrs. Campbell’s children were her life after the death of her husband. She was very involved in her children’s lives and activities, such as serving as a Girl Scout leader and a Boy Scout leader. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed music, reading, studying her Bible and loved to play Bridge.She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Campbell, Northport, AL, and Kerry Campbell (Terry) Cruse, Oxford, MS; son, Devor (Debby) Campbell, Amory; brother, James Edward (Eddie Lou) Finger, Greenville; grandchildren, Kara (Brett) Hobson and Taylor Cruse, both of Oxford, Bob Campbell, Billings, MT, and Shelly Campbell, Memphis; great-grandchildren, Carsyn & Kensi Campbell, Billings, MT, and Parker Hobson, Oxford; niece, Cindy Finger Smith; nephew, Jimmy Finger; and caregiver, Jason McCain, Oxford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Campbell, on July 24, 1963.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Danny Burks officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Ackerman. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of North MS Hospice in Oxford, Bill Barnes and Dr. Roger Ratliff.Visitation will be from 9 AM until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.For those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North MS Hospice, 104 Skyline Dr., Oxford, MS 38655.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
